Every week we pull our food truck up to Welcome Home our favorite adult daycare. We are greeted by approximately 40 of the happiest people in the world who have waited patiently for our arrival. We serve them cupcakes, cookie sandwiches, ice cream and brownies after their lunch and they offer us unconditional love, kindness, and friendship. I am reminded, as I visit with this incredible group of people each week, that it's easy to get busy and overwhelmed with my crazy life. I forget to laugh and take things way too seriously. Today I was hugged by a beautiful young woman who attends the daycare, she then told me to give Holly a hug. Holly turned to me with open arms to receive her hug. She clung to me like a long lost friend. The hugs I received today were a great energizer to my hot and tired soul. It also reminds me of how grateful I am for my beautiful daughter Shelby, who works tirelessly with me in the food truck, without complaining about my grumpy behind. I am reminded that each day is a gift and I need to laugh and enjoy the day as it arrives. Have you hugged those you care the about most?
